100% guaranteed scam.
Thank you, I thought so.
Golden rules for checking a scam is, spelling “thruw”, google any urls contained in the email, check the senders email and domain, have a quick search for goodmarksss on Reddit and see what comes up 😉
Never click a link inside a DM from a stranger. Type in the URL yourself or search for it if you would like to see whatever is inside the link
Yes. very obviously. never ever share your private key with anyone for any reason ever. that's basically just like "hey, here's access to my bank account forever. full power to do whatever you want."
Edit: to be real clear here, even though he says not to give your private key to anyone — he would already have it. He gave you some random ass link. that link could be sending private keys out to him. He tells you not to give it to anyone so you think he has your best interest in mind and don't think about what you are doing.
I'm not sure if this is referring to the correct tool (it might be), but there IS a tool like this which can extract your private key from your hardware wallet.
It used to be the only way to have full freedom, when Ledger didn't support many forks….and it kind of still is.
So, yeah…might not be a scam, but I'd do more research and make sure this is the correct tool. The one I'm recalling is open-source.
Also, bear in mind that after extracting your private key, you've basically bricked your device (hardware wallet) since you have exposed your private key…which has never before seen eyes, or screens which might have malware running in the background.
Anyone that pm's you on a crypto site or sub is trying to scam otherwise they would just post in public.
Yes huge scam
